West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nottingham Forest, AFC Bournemouth and Fulham are in the picture to sign Corinthians’ Yuri Alberto.
Earlier this week, we covered claims from Brazil which stated West Ham and Wolves failed to sign him in January. Nottingham Forest had also reportedly made an approach over a potential transfer.
West Ham, Wolves and Nottingham Forest are still chasing the 23-year-old and are joined by Bournemouth and Fulham.
That’s according to Calciomercato.it, and they mention the Premier League clubs when covering Inter Milan’s interest. The Nerazzurri would have to look for a new striker next season and have Alberto in their list.
He joined Corinthians on loan from Zenit Saint Petersburg in June 2022 and his stay there was made permanent in January 2023. Alberto’s contract lasts until December 2027 and the report states it includes a €100m release clause.
On Wednesday, Alberto’s agent André Cury told InterLive.it that he could be sold for €25m in the summer window. Calciomercato.it relays it and adds that the Brazilian club have set a €35m asking price but could settle for €25m plus bonuses.
Corinthians have to send 50% of the fee to Zenit and therefore, hope for a ‘real auction’ in the summer.
That could happen considering the player’s representative has been contacted by West Ham, Wolves, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Fulham.
