According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fulham made a last-minute effort to sign Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi Samuel.
The former Queens Park Rangers right back has been linked with a return to London in recent following reports of interest from Crystal Palace.
Hurriyet today report on the latest developments regarding the player’s future at Fenerbahce and they say Fulham tried to sign him in the final hours of the window. With the uncertainty over the future of the injured Kenny Tete, the Premier League could be in the market for a new right back.
With his contract set to expire next summer, Fulham can still look to take advantage of his situation and can open talks over a pre-contract.
Crystal Place have also been heavily linked with the Nigeria International after claims the Eagles were recently in transfer talks with him.
The 26 year old is said to be keen on a return to London and has turned down Fenerbahce’s recent contract offer. Fener are also looking to replace Osayi Samuel, with Red Star Belgrade’s Ognjen Mimovic on the verge in joining the Istanbul giants.
