Adama Traore has played over 1000 minutes in the Premier League for Fulham this season.
While he has not been a regular starter, he has come off the bench and repeatedly been used as an impact substitute, scoring twice and racking up three assists for Marco Silva’s side.
His future at Fulham could now be uncertain and the last few days of the transfer window could see him potentially depart.
Sky Italia journalist Luca Marchetti has spoken about Napoli’s interest in the winger, as the Italian club continue to look for potential replacements for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The journalist spoke to Radio Marte and said, as relayed by AreaNapoli: “Noa Lang? We have had no feedback or confirmation on this player, even if he is very good and operates on that side.
“Adama Traore of Fulham? The profiles are those, that is, players who know how to move well on the wings and can arrive on a temporary basis.”
Napoli Calcio Live have also relayed Marchetti’s comments, stating that Traore can be a ‘last minute option’ for the Serie A leaders in the January transfer window.
It seems as if the Spaniard would not depart Fulham permanently and if Napoli do move for him, it would only be a loan deal.
Whether Fulham would be open to a deal or not is highly questionable, especially because they don’t have a replacement in place. As multiple Napoli transfer ideas have similarly faltered this month, this plan could collapse as soon as it meets the reality of the player’s current club.
