According to claims in the Turkish media, AC Milan defender Emerson Royal is closing in on a transfer to Galatasaray, despite interest from Fulham.
Earlier today we covered reports from Italy that the Premier League side are in the picture to sign the former Spurs player, along with Galatasaray.
During the summer, Gala signed Elias Jelert from Copenhagen, but the youngster has struggled for form and is the subject of interest from Ipswich Town. Subsequently, Cimbom have now turned their attention to the Milan defender as they also look to offload Jelert.
Turkish journalist Kağan Dursun has reported on the latest developments regarding the Istanbul side’s pursuit for Emerson.
Speaking to Haber Sarikirmizi, Dursun insisted the Brazilian is close to a move to Istanbul, and developments should happen this week.
“Galatasaray are planning to finalise the transfer of Emerson this week,” said the Turkish journalist.
These reports could come as a blow to Fulham following claims today his agent was to hold transfer talks with the Craven Cottage club. With Kenny Tete currently injured and likely to leave in the summer, Fulham are in market for an experienced right back.
